    Can you help me??.internet problem

Can somebody explan why I get this problem.
Sometimes when I click on a link in Internet Explorer, it just doest go anywhere, for a period of time. Even if I have a few Explorer Windows open, if I click something in any of them it's just stuck. It doesnt even start downloading the link and it says Done in the bottom left of the Explorer screen.
Then some time later(10sec- 2 min) the link starts to download.
I used to have AOL and then switched to Verizon DSL but I still have this problem. It's not always like this but happens pretty often. The connection is good - if i have a file downloading it doesnt stop downloading even if the explorer is stuck. Can you guys help me out?

It sounds more like a problem with your internet explorer. You may want to try reinstalling it. What version of windows and ie are you using?

or it could just be a time delay from the server that he is trying to access from. either it is slow or has a lot of traffic at the moment.

Dude, I think I had the exact same problem as you with my pacbell dsl. Like when I started up IE, sometimes the start page would pop up hella fast (as it should cuz it's dsl). Other times though, it would just stay blank for 30-60sec then decide to load the page. This whole lag-then-go-fast thing would occur during the entire session I used IE. I was never able to fix the problem, instead, I switched to Opera.

Opera still had that freeze thing going on, but only when you first started up the program. After the first "pause" the broswer would function normally and everything would load fast. Netscape seemed to do the same thing as well.

When I switched to Win XP Pro (i was using win98), the entire thing stopped happening. IE, Netscape, and Opera all work flawlessly. If the problem I described is what you're experiencing, buy win xp.
