    Hard Drive Whizzard

    Ok heres the story im trading 2 hds for one except my fujitusi 16GB seems to have a problem.. even though i dont think so the guy said that he tried to UNPARTITION IT but....

    It froze upon trying to verify the disk
    integrity. So then I used Partition Magic to try it, but it froze that as
    well. Reboot, and there was the partition, but it was not set active, so I
    used FDISK to set it active. Reboot, then try to format it. I get this
    message: "Invalid Media or track 0 bad - disk unusable."


    N E ONE TIPS TIPS??

    Go to Fujitsu & download their drive utilities. They should have something to test the drive. If you're lucky it may still be under warranty - most drive mfrs cover them for 3 years.

    well the reason you couldnt fdisk is that u used partision magic or one of those programs and it could not be recognized by the microsoft fdisk. If i were you i would low level format and then everything should work fine.
