ooohhhhh....goody! toys!!

so, i just got back from the UPS shipment center by my house (i should get a frequent customer card because i'm there so often). i brough with me a set of JBL NSP1 home theater speakers, a visioneer onetouch 8100 scanner, a set of cobra FRS radios, a copy of quicken 2002 deluxe, and a box of 100 paper clips.
woo hooo! of course, the radios and the scanner will end up being bday gifts for various members of my family, and i don't have a receiver yet, so i can't use my speakers, but none the less, i'm pretty happy.
the funniest thing i got was the paper clips. naturally, staples shipped them separately in a box that was probably 9x11x3. it was actually shipped from a distribution center in livonia (about 10 miles from where i live -- the scanner was shipped from pennsylvania) and instead of normal packing, they just stuffed some random newspapers in there. i was cracking up.

@ my old office I would get more pakages some days than the company, and yes sometime it was just a large box with a tiny box of paper clips
