I honestly don't know how these analysts and reporters are getting their figures. If they are all right in another year ecommerce will not exist! These guys need to rescrew their heads on and figure out it is the 21st century, not 1950 when they got their degrees!

Actually, its not so far fetched.
Companies online have been dropping like flies.
As of right now.........it would seem that after all the weak competitors get destroyed in etailing............well, the big B&M places could make big hedgeway into the online world...(if they haven't already)

Um....money is money.....it doesn't matter if you're B&M or E commerce, if you don't have a effective business plan, you won't have money. Amazon.com isn't producing a profit, and their business model isn't going to for a while.. If you run out of Venture capital (in this case, that's what they're using), and you don't get a new infusion of cash, you run out of money. True that B&M has overhead (and quite a bit), but it's being found out that E commerce is also having alot of overhead and more extreme consumer expectations.

Remember, money is money...there's nothing virtual about it...why do you think so many companies that were just new a few years ago don't even exist to this day....sad really....all the people (both startups and VCs) saw were the possible money to be made via IPOs, and lost sight of what is necessary....a sound business model
