all about the ram, ECC or non ecc
whats the diff
and does it make a difference if u dont u mix ecc with non ecc
for the same price would u go for it??

ECC is 'error checking and correcting' or somthing like that. It's meant for highly loaded machines such as servers - it has the ability to detect potential memory errors & correct them before they occur. Unless you're running a server, you probably won't notice a difference. Go for the cheaper non-ecc ram. I don't know for sure, but I don't think you can mix ecc & non-ecc.

I believe ECC RAM modules are also slower, having to perform the parity check and whatnot. I don't think there are any "consumer grade" motherboards that you can get that supports ECC RAM (I'm excluding the dual-processor boards here).
