    Question Dish-Mounted TV Antenna

    Hey all,

I just got DTV, and was quite dissapointed that i couldn't get my local channels with the service. Oh well, so I started looking into alterior ways of getting the local channels. Any body seen or dealt with the Terk TV42 ? It looks like it would work pretty well to me.

Well, i got this thing today, and it works pretty well. It was pretty easy to set up, uses all the wiring you already have. Alot better than having rabbit ears on all you TV's. I'd recomend it for someone in my situation.

    re: terk any good?

I have a Terk tv-25, which is an amplified antenna. My opinion is that it works really well on local channels that normal rabbit ears have trouble with. But some channels look better with my old cheapo rabbit ears. Anyone else have this problem?

    Yes...

My mother has the same problem-If I installed the antenna on the dish, she only got 2 of the four local stations. Oddly enough, laying the thing down on her roof allowed her to all the local channels with decent reception. One notable: the CBS affiliate came in grate with rabbit ears, but lousy on the dish-ring antenna.
