CD Burner Problems
I just installed a Pacific Digital cd burner 24/10/40 in my sisters computer. I'd tried to copy an audio cd, everything seemed to go ok, but when I went to my computer and double clicked on the cd that i just copied I get the error that the device is not ready. I take the cd I just made over to my computer and I get the same error. I can see the files on the cd by right clicking and opening the cd and when I put it in my stero it works fine. Has anyone had this problem before. The software I've used is the one that came with the burner, cd maker 2000 and i've also tried clone cd. On both of those progams I get the same result. HELP PLEASE!

i've never experienced your problem, nor do i have any experience with that program, or that particular burner. but perhaps you can update the firmware, and driver for your burner, perhaps that might help?

close the session
was there a setting for closing the session? if so, make sure you set it. Take it back to your sister's computer and it may still let you set it. If not, just burn another one and make sure the session is closed afterward.
