well, being that he has held a position in that district for a long time, he was cocky,... err.. confident.. But they restructured the districts this time around, and so many of the voters never seen him on the ballot before. He thought he could get away with a scandal, and brush it under the table.. that election result did a little bit to restore my faith in the voters of our country. i'm glad they discarded his "i'm innocent, which is why i won't talk to anyone about this" bs.

Californians are very finnicky voters. We tend to like to be split on funky props and candidates
