Old technology? Are you talking about hard drive based MP3 players? The only decent hard drive MP3 player is the I-Pod and it's like $400. The others are just too big an clunky. The Nomad II's are nice and small. Still one of the best MP3 players out there.
I got my Nomad II from emusic way back when. I think it's great and I'm still using it.
I popped in a 128MB SmartMedia card and I'm good for 2 hours. Plus, it also has a built in voice recorder. Small, light, long battery life. Considering these things used to go for $250 this sounds like a great deal.

I got one of these new from Fry's 9 months ago and I could never get it to work right - it wouldn't turn on all the time and it would spontaneously reset. I have other devices that use the smartmedia card so that was nice, but I ended up taking the Nomad II back anyway because of the stability problems.
If they're selling refurbs, one of them is probably my old one...![]()
I think over again
My small adventures, my fears.
The small ones that seemed so big,
For all the vital things I had to get and to reach.
And yet there is only one great thing, the only thing:
To live to see the great day that dawns,
And the light that fills the world.

I hate mp3 players, been burnt one too many times. Mp3/cd is the best bet I think. If only they made cd players with Lithium ion batteries...
I totally agree with you on that - I don't think I'll get another MP3 player any time soon... MP3/CD seems the best.Originally posted by Cantacuzene
