    Question Disk Enclosure

I'm looking to build an external disk array with the 3 40 gig hard drives I recently bought. I've been looking at several disk enclosures, but it's pretty confusing. Ideally I would like to run it RAID 0 and have both ethernet and firewire capabilities. It's my understanding that if I use firewire I won't need a power supply b/c I will be getting power from my PCI card, no? Any help on setting this up and what to buy would be appreciated.

I've never heard of an external firewire RAID enclosure. An ethernet-capable box would be called NAS (network attached storage). Dell sells them, among others.

Before I go on a diatribe, could you give some more details? How much can you spend? What have you looked at so far? etc...
