    Joe Greensleeves

Joe Greensleeves is a very nice resturant that I have always wanted to go too. The business card deems it simply "The Resturant of Joe Greensleeves American Grill"

Well today I decided I wanted to take my adorable Girlfriend to this great resturant. So I called up and made reservations for 8PM. Went there ordered our food and enjoyed it immensely, it's a very small resturant with quaint decorations and just overly a great feel to it. So we ordered:

    1 Appetizer (we shared it)
    1 Coke
1 Mineral Water (damn them for not having Cranberry juice)
    1 Filet Mignon
    1 Filet Medallion
    2 Regular Coffees
    1 Slice Carrot Cake
    1 Slice Latte Cream Pie

Total after tip and tax: $120!!!

Ok well the food really was amazingly good but still $120 was definately not what I was planning on spending on one meal. I was even tempted to try to Dine and Ditch hehe... Well in the long run it's all good, I got to enjoy an excellent meal with my girlfriend and we had a very good time.

    Next time though, she's paying

120 is not too expensive for a nice restaurant, which I hope this was. I'v been to quite a few in Houston like that. Of course, I ate Taco Bell for the next week

Yeah there are many other resturants around here that cost this much and more but I wanted to go to Greesleeves in particular because a couple (or more) years back I read a short article on it in Money Magazine. Since then I've wanted to try it.

Haha, well you read about a restaurant in Money magazine and expect not to pay a lot?

  8. #8
Oh I knew it was gonna be a lot but I wasn't expecting that much. It's all good the money really isn't that important, its just the surprise I received with the bill was quite large. I've spent more money on more fruitless things...

Glass of water was free, but I just looked at the check and the coke did not come with free refills so that's two glasses of coke. Really though the food was so good I'd say it was worth it.

Groceries... well thankfully my parents cover that.

Did they not have the prices on the menu. I know at Morton's you have to request a menu with prices if u want to know how much your paying. heh. Dinner Check Shock, is abundent

I only looked at the prices of the entrees which I didn't consider to extreme (15-30 a plate). I couldn't imagine the prices of the appetizer and others

Wow DF, that is EXACTLY what I was going to say. I could buy groceries for a month with that money. Lol, he better enjoy those expensive meals now, 'cuz they sure thin out when the kids start coming!

I'm glad you had a good time Wizard!

$120.00 for a good meal is worth it, but only once and a while. I hate starving the next week or so until more money comes in.

Hehehe Nolan and Ryan are two brothers. I don't know what their parents were thinking when they named them. But yeah the older one is Ryan and the younger one is Nolan, but for some terribly odd reason people always refer to them as Nolan and Ryan.
