About time!.. but I've been hearing about the Matrix sequel for a long time already.. I was expecting it to come out this year
Actually it was because the spiderman movie was pushed back it is not going against star wars. They didn't want two New Line blockbusters out at the same time i believe.

Nah, its smart I'd say. Not everyone will go out and watch two movies during a weekend. They want a big draw on opening weekend, to show that its a blockbuster hit, which will draw more people. And movies that compete will draw ticket sales from the other. The farther apart they open, the better it is.
