Question: TV
I was at Good Guys checking out various TV. The quality of HDTV really stands out. However, since the TV is connect via normal cable (Adelphia), do I need a converter and I believe the quality of pictures won't be as good?

If your connected to standard NTSC cable, you'll be displaying the normal 640x480 resolution that any normal analog TV can get. Most of the HDTV's you're looking at probably already have an internal line doubler, which will improve the picture a bit, but it's still garbage in garbage out. DVD, especially when used with a progressive scan DVD player, will look better than on a normal analog TV.

So how can I take the advantage of HDTV during normal channel, say KCAL9? via satellite? What other cable company would you recommend or what company are you guys actually using?

Satellite or an over the air antenna.
