so ive been hearing all about how this is a great game and ive been wanting to play it since it came out. ive never really been a fan of rpg's since the original zelda, but thats more like an adventure game. so remembering the free video game rental from blockbuster from the deals forum sitting in my glove box, i decided to check it out. whats up with this game, i cant get past the first boss! so i tried for about an hour and decided to cheat. luckily i have a gameshark and a sharkport . i can beat all sorts of big bad asses in various parts of the game without using any gs codes, but i dont get it. i mean the game, i just dont understand it. what am i missing?

LOL , can't beat the first boss? I guess it just takes a bit to get into the whole RPG thing. The first boss should be really easy. Just play the game for a bit, cheating takes the fun out of RPGs man. You don't cheat in RPGS, you spend hours and hours leveling up instead .

well a lot of the time it took to get to the first boss were fmv scenes which i couldnt skip past. that kinda annoyed my that i would have to watch all that stuff every single time. i think i got past the first boss after a few tries, but then i got killed at the next boss and gave up. just too many cut scenes. after an hour i got some game saves from the net so i could see what else the game had. im definately more used to real time fighting than turn based, but i can definately get used to that. the random battles get a little annoying to me too. it kinda felt like a was playing pokemon having to stop every few steps to battle some big goon. i have the game for 5 more days so ill give it some more time. does anyone know how to skip the fmv scenes? i really dont want to memorize them
