    Bsods???!!!

    Hey Yall,

    Formatting a friends comp...

    Deleted partition w/ winxp cd.... created partition...
    formatted....

    now.. while it was copying itself to load up.... it would get a BSOD....


    Any clues?

    Could it be a dying HDD?

    the BSOD said to like try to disable caching stuff... i have no clue...

    guys got any clues?

    To troubleshoot a BSOD -

    Write down the first three lines on the screen. Then go to Microsoft's Knowledge Base & start searching for keywords from those lines. Be sure to pick the proper OS from the dropdown box first!

    set BIOS settings to default or
    try updating your BIOS

    I agree with Markel, it must be either either a hardware or software problem....hehehe
