It does get annoying to read a bunch of posts asking for codes to be confirmed.
We all will post as we hear them. We all will confirm as we can. Asking is annoying and clutters the board.
All of that aside though, I still think that PM's should be kept private. It's not our business and frankly we (I make certain assumptions here) don't much care what goes on in other peoples PM's.

Jontas is simply protecting his account by making sure EVERYTHING is confirmed. Just read the rules, its simple.
And yes it is very distasteful for you to bring this public.. PM does mean *private* message so please keep it that way....

I want to apologize for offending you, I could tell from your post that you didn't understand how the forum worked and I just wanted to explain how things work around her.Originally Posted by guppy

I sent you one private message (not messages) only which is the one you disrespectfully posted for everyone to see. When I first joined this forum someone criticized something I posted in front of everybody and made me feel very small, that's why I sent you a private message.
Having said this I know how I made you feel and I'm sorry for that. I hope we can see eye to eye in the future. Welcome to the forum, I look forward to your contributions as does everyone else. Peace.

Dude, thanks for the Morning Trivia. I've been looking all day for the question to come up.
Thanks again.

Jontas..and everyone else who reads this. Do not play the martyr card. Don't you watch Seinfeld?!?!?!? The "Soup Nazi"..."No Soup for you"?!?!?!?!? The "Forum Nazi"..."No Post for you" Come on! This is rediculous! Asking for a confirmation is bad?!?!?!!?!? I know a private message is meant to be "private". This isn't the first, and why should I be persecuted for asking a question...or bringing someone's harassment to light? Huh? I have been a member of this forum for awhile now. I know the "rules". What is so bad to ask for confirmation? Every other code is confirmed. I didn't see the confirmation for that one code I asked about. I do not understand what the problem is. Jontas, you send these private messages like you are the "Ruler of the Forum". I have seen the "rules" you have set. And I do not disagree with them. I think they are good to keep us safe from bad codes. No need to remind me which page they are on. I can ask for confirmation if I want. As for bringing his "private" message public. I want you all to see what is going on here. He sends this message like how dare you ask for confirmation. Can't I ask a question. He is just trying to control everything. I understand your rules..I mean suggestions..because you don't set the rules here. I think they are valid and good to follow. Just lighten up. I am tired of typing. I will reply to those who think I am wrong
Thanks for the codes.
How is telling me not to ask for confirmation is helping me out?
Let's just get on with the codes, thats what were here for.
I second that motion.
In regards to the Fear Factor bonus code, when does it normally come on Peachie? If I know Fox & UPN, it probably comes on about 10:55 p.m., which is in direct conflict with the evening sports code on Fox. I'll try to set up my 3rd VCR to tape it so I can confirm that code. --Ben Dogg![]()

OCTOBER
I also wanted to pass along a warning that I saw on the other forum. Someone over there said he received a different code in his e-mail newsletter (but did not post it for his own security). I never really thought about this, but it would be an easy way for Fox to target suspected participants of this or other forums. So, be sure to double-check all e-mail codes before entering them. --Ben Dogg![]()

Everytime time I've gone to the trivia page, it keeps telling me there is no trivia or i've already answered them. Yet, there's been no question for me to answer today. Has this happened to anyone else????
Haunted Trail Tix-- 7 pairs left for 12,000 points. Get em quickly if you have enough points.
Sabrinasr- Yeah, that's really strange. I don't know how they can selectively not allow some people to answer trivia, but this happened to a friend of mine today as well. --Ben Dogg![]()

Jontas, just want to say thanks for setting up the rules. And thanks to everyone else here who is helping post and confirm codes. As for you, guppy... I'm not one to talk, since I haven't been a member for very long, but from what I've see you don't appear to be helping what everyone here is trying to do. Please don't ask for a confirmation. I'm pretty sure that everyone who watches FOX or UPN will confirm the codes when they see them, and I don't think the dedicated and active posters here wouldn't confirm them if they could. I also welcome you to these forums, but at the moment I really don't have a lot of respect for you. People here are trying to help each other out, and I'm very glad that Jontas has taken the time to layout the rules not because he wants to be the "forum nazi," as you so eloquently put it, but to help everyone who doesn't want to get their accounts terminated.
That said, Fox6 Sports Code: MONARCHS

EnergyCoffee, I have been a member of this forum for a lot longer than a week. My account was terminated by Fox so I have had to start over. I said this many times. It is time to be very paranoid. Part of that involves me signing up again with this forum with a new screen name. That is why it looks as if I just joined. I know how this forum works. I know to be careful about what codes you enter. That means I need to make sure a code that has been posted is valid. It was about 10:30 at the time I had asked for confirmation. I didn't want to wait all night for someone to confirm so I asked. I am really amazed at how you all think I did something wrong by asking. It is not like I am posting bad codes or causing problems. ALL I DID WAS ASK FOR A CODE CONFIRMATION!!!!!! You guys all refer to Jontas' rules. Here is rule number 2 about confirming codes. Nowhere does it state that we cannot ask for confirmation. ------------------------------------------------------------------
2. We confirm codes.
- If you're new don't take it personally if someone confirms a code that you post. Confirming is what works for us.
- Poison codes do exist (Examples: krusty, golf2004), their intention is to catch those who break the rules.
- You confirm by actually hearing or seeing the code (and receiving the code directly from the origional source), not by another source or testing the code to see if it works (Poison codes work too).
- No confirming your own post, a code and a confirmation are two separate posts.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Just worry about yourself and the people who are posting bad codes. How dare you all give me a hard time just for asking. The code I asked for confirmation on was valid and nobody confirmed it. Doesn't hurt to ask.
I can confirm Monarchs
Alright everyone, I know it may get frustrating for some people, but I agree with guppy. We shouldn't be made to feel bad about asking a question about codes. Sometimes I see codes that are hours old that no ones confirmed and wonder if anyone can. however I don't ask because I fear the backlash from everyone. And I don't think it's right. I think of this forum as a group of friends helping each other out, not bashing each other for small stuff. Can't we all just get along?![]()

I just don't understand what good it does to ask for a confirmation. Everyone here tries their best to confirm the codes, and if someone is going to take the time to visit the forums and they CAN confirm a code, I think they would do it instead of waiting for someone else to. I'm not saying it's wrong to ask for a confirmation, or a bad thing to do, but I don't see why it's needed. I also know this has caused more spam to this forum than you asking for a confirmation, so I'm done. Just wanted to say thanks to everyone around here, especially Jontas. I didn't/don't see why you have to put someone down for trying to help everyone. That's all.
I think everyone just needs to take a deep breath.................... come on...breath in deep....hold it for a sec and then blow out. Well, I feel better...LOL.
He wasn't trying to help me! He was giving me a hard time for asking! If you don't think asking for confirmation is needed, then don't ask! Let those of us who feel the need to ask alone! I agree. Look at all these posts. Just because I asked. Thanks sabrinasr. Glad to see someone gets it. If you all look at my post where I asked for confirmation for Bloody, the very next one someone else asked for confirmation for a different code. But I guess it's OK if he does it. Your "rules" don't apply to everyone? Is that it?
Didn't help me![]()
guppy yer taking this too personally.... It's not that big of a deal to waste this much finger clickin on...honestly is it?
Please PLEASE continue to confirm codes. That is what lost us all our points in the 1st place!!!
Jontas..stop pming people without asking them if it is okay... guppy is taking this as a personal attack.
now stop all the squabbling
Rule 5 says that belittling will not be tolerated. I think that by asking a question about confiming and getting bashed against directly violates these rules. Maybe we should all just be more careful about how we talk to one another...
