X-Box playing DreamCast games....

ok so I read long ago that the x-box would be able to do this, I have only heard on one test by one person and it failed. I e-mailed x-box trech support and they said it can't be done...



any one have the real info on this? was it a big hoax?

Well, there is probably a mod that could be installed into the X-Box that will allow you to play Dreamcast games, but that is the only thing I could think of.

i'm very into the xbox mod scene...

The rumors about xbox playing dreamcast games was just that, a rumor. They suspected it because MS had helped out sega on the dreamcast and the dc was about to die anyway.

its been about 2-3 months since the first xbox mod chips came out and already there are many emulators in the works. So far i know of Mame, Gameboy/GBA, psx is probably in the works as are NES/SNES, genesis. The fact that it uses PC hardware makes porting stuff much simpler. I wouldn't be surprised if we see a DC emulator in the following months. There's already some amazing software out for it, including a Divx/media player.
