They're using a new 3 chip LCoS engine that does 1080p natively. This thing is going to be SWEET! I can't wait for it to come out (and down in price). You can even use it as a monitor at 1920x1080 at 72hz. No burn in either with LCoS technology.

It internally upconverts 1080i to 1080p, or, if you have a spare $60k, you can always buy a Teranex to do it.
