Is there any way to get rid of the annoying "Upgrade Now" nag that pops up every time QT launches?

I stopped using QT because of that.

I stopped using it because I didn't like the interface.
It is not enough to merely touch the face of god; you also must open your eyes so that you may see your palm.

upgrade to pro fo rthe 30 bucks, or find a crack (they use a new serial, so a crack probably isnt available yet). The pro version lets you see larger movies, encode movies with different codecs, and save movies that you are viewing. I used to have 5 pro, but that serial is no longer valid (came with FCP3). I am thinking of getting 6 pro.

As far as resources go, i never really had much of a problem. The video quality is better than most other media types (if encoded properly), and a higher quality video stream will consume more resources.

I refuse to run any real player products. Windows media and quicktime are the only players i use for both mac & windows
