    television placement

i was wondering if any of you can help me. I ordered the 53wx42 from onecall, and it should be arrving tomorrow or day after. Well my living room, rectangular in shape, but has a huge fireplace alone one of the long walls. So I want to put it agains one of the short walls, and have my couch across the room from it

The question is, one one of the short walls, are a set of windows. It never really gets too sunny, and i have blinds to block out the window. Should i place the television in front of the windows, or on the opposite side, with the windows directly across from it?

Unfortunately, the best way is through trial and error. You definitely do not want direct sunlight to hit the screen though, because the image will wash out.

since it never gets too sunny, and the windows face south, direct sunlight across the room is rare.

What is at the other end of the room opposite the windows. You could place it there away from the windows. I try to keep anything electronic away from windows to prevent moisture, sun and dust buildup. If you windows are newer, less than 5yrs with dual panes etc, you should be OK.

Trial and error maybe you only course here though. Good luck.

    Cheers,
    Scott
