It is not enough to merely touch the face of god; you also must open your eyes so that you may see your palm.

rurouni kenshin, irresponsible captain taylor, fushigi yuugi, evangelion, Escaflowne, Ah! My Goddess, and Trigun are among my top all time favorites. if you guys get a chance, you should definite watch it. Another wonderful classic is Maison Ikkoku, although it has 97 epsiodes, it is a great comedy-drama anime.

Some of my all time favs are: Initial D, Kimagura Orange Road, Escaflowne, Noir, Rurouni Kenshin (watching this one right now, it's great), X, and who could forget Dragonball Z? Oh, Excel Saga was pretty damn funny, I laugh everytime i think about it.

currently in the process of collecting all the Robotech series. I've never realized how great the storyline was. Watching the show as a kid back in the day, all i cared about were giant robots beating the crap out of the bad guys

My gf got me into it initially. She's a huge Sailor Moon fan and made me record it for her when it was on Cartoon Network so I would watch some of it. I decided to explore on my own to see what more guy orientated anime was out there. That's when I discovered Initial D.

Other than Initial D, I like Gundam, Trigun, some of the Love Hina, and must not forget about Transformers. I've also seen Patlabor, a little bit of Tenchi, and Ghost in the Shell. I've been meaning to start watching Ah! My Goddess as well. I just watched the first two episodes of Agent Aika, which is extremely scandalous, but not yet hentai.

    I just got suckered...

I went to frys cuz after reading this post, i thought i'd pick up Ninja Scroll. Couldnt find it so I looked around and saw a movie with a guy with 2 swords on the cover. Looked cool and even that egbert and ropert gave it 2 thumbs up calling it the Star Wars of anime. Brought it home watched the 1st half and it sucked. Watched the next half and that sucked. Princess Mononoke you SUCK!
I dont think the guy ever lifted 2 swords like the cover. Some weird man vs. nature bs.

So I left it at my friends and count it as a $15 lesson. Oh well live and learn.

Just got back from the Spirited Away premere at the El Capitan. I have to say, quite entertaining.

The Miyazaki Q&A session afterwards was great also!

i don't know how many times i have to say this. There is one exception to the rule. any dub will beat the origional version of dbz hands down. why? the japanese voice for goku causes my ears to bleed.
