Hmm.... not sure what's in it..can't find a page with all the latest fixes. Try:

    http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000...p3/default.asp

It's suppose to go live on thursday, when they officially roll it out. It seems they put it on their servers earlier like they did last time with SP2, so enjoy the super duper bandwidth now, before everyone jumps on the bandwagon.

what I wonder is did they add that one nice lil update that allowed them to remove unauthorized programs or disable 'em from your system.

I didn't read about that, thought it was only WinXP SP1. Win2k is going to get phased out in 2003, so there's no point in extending their protection to it... too expensive of task. Besides, I also read that they are not going all out in SP1 for XP... just nuked the one key that everyone was using. They're not going to nuke all the corporate keys and reissue, although I believe they are modifying the EULA so they have backdoor access. I wonder why the DoJ isn't going after this clause. Then again, AOL's been doing it for a while now.

yup yup, it's officially out on their site today. Here's a link to the list of fixes.

    http://support.microsoft.com/default...;en-us;Q320853

Be warned...accepting the EULA allows MS to auto download code to your pc without telling you about it.

so basically when you use the "slipstreamed" win2k CD in a fresh install, you end up with an install thats already got the updates from SP3. everytime.

google it, you'll find a few sites that has instructions for it, and CDRWIN is the tool to use.
now why didn't you say that in the first place?
