$70k/year to start. I don't like the idea of going into something that has a salary ceiling. But my dad would want me to go into pharmaceutical manufacturing since he has an herbal product company anyways. Geez... If I were someone else reading this, it would seem like I want to go into the illegal narcotics business.

Well, my towncar driver was driving me through Queens and told us it was raelly easy to score drugs there. I have NO idea why he told me that.

yea, i'm a pharm tech @ walgreens...waddaya wanna know?

here, i'll sum it up with this...go apply for a tech job, you gain invaluable experience which does a lot for you. it tells you exactly what you're life will be like, gives you really really good training on what you're gonna do...and gives you and advantage over all the other people in pharm school that have no experience. trust me, even if you think you want to go into pharmacy, you won't know until you become a tech.

and yes, i'm planing on going into pharmacy in the future, i've got 2+ years experience in a grocery store pharmacy. and i just started with walgreens. i have 5 credits of undergrad, then i'm applying for pharm school. if i stick with walgreens during pharm school...as a tech i'll make at least 13/hour. but as far as a pharmacist, what was said earlier is true, approx start salary is 70K. stick with one pharmacy through pharmacy school, gain senority and by the time you graduate, you'll be banking. if i stay with walgreens for the next 4 years, my income (including wages + bonuses) will be over 6 digits (believe me, i've checked this out).

it is a lucrative field, and there is a shortage of pharmacists...just don't take my job!
