    Converting a Web Site

Has anyone ever (or does anyone know) converted at site from Frontpage to Dreamweaver?

The reason I ask is because I'm anxious to get started on my site and I should be getting Dreamweaver pretty soon. But I HAVE Frontpage and thought maybe I could start with that then convert over.

I want to learn Dreamweaver because I heard its industry standard and that it has a lot more functionality. A better software altogether.

Thanks in advance for your help!

since both will code in html, I dont see what needs converting...

Be wary with Frontpage though, if you utilize its WYSIWYG (drag&drop basically) feature, your code will be a mess and hard to sort through. I have both dreamweaver and frontpage, I use frontpage in code mode and make my sites from there, with a quick click to the preview button I can see what I'm doing.

Dreamweaver is a more powerful than frontpage, but I only use it to modify php codes for my webpage.

Thanks guys. I just wanted to make sure before I started doing all the work. I will get dw soon, so I anticipate only working on content for now. I will design later and I'm sure dw is more equipped for that.

Sorry if I sound ignorant. I've been taking some classes and have only used basic html. I haven't really put it into practice yet.
