To meet the cute ones I generally meet them at clubs or bars ... but those are the kind that never last cuz they're the "I look cute but am no good for a relationship" type.

i full know that sex is always on the front burner, but saying that a guy could care less what a girl has to say is a bit harsh.
The internet has done well for me to find guys. I've dated some pretty good guys from posting a personal in Yahoo. And although I'm not currently dating them, they are pretty normal guys! Just some of our traits haven't matched. So what the hell, post an ad on yahoo and see who responds. I warn you, you will get some freaks (they're everywhere!) but I've met great people from there!
Parties = bad place to meet guys, depending on the party. Personally...I don't think people act like themselves with liquor in them - but that's my opinion.
