    Business School in NYC

I've narrowed it down to about 3 of them. I'm not aiming to go to the top schools because I will be doing it part time and I don't want to stress myself over it. So the there so far are:

    Fordham
    Pace
    CUNY Baruch

Any comments? Pace part time is ranked number 10 in US News and World Report but according to the stats, people coming out of Pace has an average salary of $60g's while Fordham grads average $80g's.

If you are not Russian, you'd probably feel out of place in PACE. Besides, keep in mind it is PACE graduate business school was ranked 10th in the nation, not to say that Lubin school is not a good school, PACE spends most of their money for Business school.

I worked with a guy from Fordham, he had absolutely no knowledge of what he was doing, but then again it is only one person I have met.

Baruch, I've heard positive things about their Accounting Dept. besides it's cheap. But many people don't like that idea of CUNY.

However if you want REALLY good Business school in New York, NYU's stern is the way to go (just don't be too stuck up once you graduate )

try to figure out the geographical area graduates of the two schools work in. if Pace students spread out all over the country but most Fordham grads stay in NYC, that would easily explain the average salary difference.

also see what type of work students from the different schools go into. if Fordham grads work in investment banks and Pace grads work in general business management, that would probably also explain the salary difference. then, if you know what you want to do after you graduate, go to whichever school is stronger in that area (ie if you want to work in investment banking but only 3% of Pace students work in i-banks, then probably don't go there).

those are just my general thoughts...i'm not an expert on b-school. good luck making your decision though

I thought Lubin was their graduate business school. Well anyways I only got a 620 in my gmats but that's good enough for the three I mentioned. Not too good for NYU Stern. Plus I hear the coursework for Stern is a tad on the demanding side.

I got a bachelor in engineering and I still want to do something related to it after I get me MBA.

I'm a pace student and i disagree with this comment "If you are not Russian, you'd probably feel out of place in PACE." I feel it's pretty diverse. I get along with everyone.
