    question from an inquiring male...

i hope you ladies don't mind my crashing yer party here, but i had a question for yall...

now, i'm in the market for a new cologne, and i've gotten some suggestions, but it suddenly occurred to me that i could probably get a nice variety of ideas from all of you out there in apexland...

so what fragrances do you like on your man, or, if your man doesn't wear what you'd like him to, what fragrances do you like in general?

    thanks for the help!

I like the smell of Very Sexy for Him by Victoira Secrets. They gave me a free sample of it once when I bought my perfume in a little gift bag. It smells good.....

Sorry to bust in on the ladies' territory here, but I just went thru the "I need new cologne" thing. A gf of mine who's a fragrance nut suggested CK "Truth" for men. So far I like it a lot, it's a casual everyday type of scent, and it does not seem to wear off like the others I have. Check it out.

Also the "Nautica" house brand is surprisingly good.

Then again, I do have a sample of "WWF Nitro" I got somehow that you are welcome to have

Try finding something with pharamones (sp). They tend to last a longer time and *ahem* attract mates

    http://shop.avon.com/avonshop/defaul...age=dept%2Easp is Avon's.

Also Walmart has Axe and it smells, supriseingly (sp) good.

My SO and I went to Lover's Lane (a chain of stores that tries to be racier than Frederick's) and I sprayed some of their pheromone-based cologne.

    It worked.

Later on, I was told that it wasn't the pheromones that did it. She admitted, sheepishly, that the cologne smelled like Pierre Cardin and she had a high school boyfriend who used to wear it. :ummno:

But hey, I can't complain about the results.

I read somewhere that the pheromones they use in those colognes are actually derived from pigs. (Insert favorite joke here.)

When I wear cologne, it's usually Cool Water.

For a couple years I used Cool Water. To this day i can't smell it, though i remember it smelled really good.
Then i switched to CK Contradiction and now i put on CK Escape and occasionally go back to Contradiction.
For some reason Escape makes my throat scratchy.

Gio smells REALLY good, give that a try.

    shweet shweet...

    some other suggestions i've gotten:

    PI by Givenchy
    Polo Blue
    Dolce & Gabbana Pour Homme
    Allure by Chanel

i tend to like lighter, citrusy smells, but PI is real nice...

    guess we'll see...
