No way. All games are $49.99 on release. Period. They must be pulling your leg.

If it's true though I would be happy, surprised, but happy =)

I picked up my copy of Robotech today from Circuit City. I've been playing it for about half an hour now. I'm not TOO impressed with it. However, I think I should play it some more befor I give my final judgment on it.

The only people who are going to really like Robotech are the ones who actually saw it on TV in the 1980s. Hearing the opening music really brought back a lot of memories. For others, this will be a pretty mediocre mecha game. However, this is still the best Robotech/Macross console game ever made.

The game really did bring back that nostalgic feeling. Why can't I be Rick Hunter?

Maybe you need to be more animated.

I think I might pick this up today. The reviews have been pretty fair to mixed, but I haven't played a shooter in like, years so it should be all fresh to me.

I consider anything less than a good review a bad review.

You just can't expect too much with shooters, there really isn't anything new or ground breaking that hasn't been done before already. As for this game, it is an average shooter, but what gives it a plus, is the fact that it is material that hooks into your childhood.

I'd bet that a thundercats or a transformer action/adventure/shooter/RPG would gather interest also.

Kinda like the new "masters of the universe"...
