    Question Recommendation for a USB compact flash reader?

    Looking for a compact flash reader. I'd prefer the USB type rather than the internal bay mount type, just so that I can swap it w/ different comps. Are they all built the same? Is one faster than another? It'll be used on USB 1.1 comps, so USB 2.0 won't really matter.

    I think they're all pretty much the same. . . 'cause maybe I'm wrong but I think the bottleneck is the memory itself and not usb, but somebody prove me wrong.

    The bottleneck is USB - try a firewire reader & you'll see the difference!

    I would recommend Sandisk - I've bought several of them & I've never had a problem with any of them.
