Starting pitching seems to be getting a little more consistent (especially Moose), Giambi's back seems better, and Mo is back. I'm starting to get a good feeling about the playoffs.

The Angels are officially heading onto the ALCS!

One of the banners at Edison Field said it all, methinks ... "Half the payroll, twice the heart!"

yankee fans <-- me at the yankee fans <--

I just love how the yankees could do well against most teams but for the last few seasons seems like they just can't handle the Angels. How many pitcher changes was that today? Or just in the 5th? Hehe, All I can say is,

yeah thats great, to bad you will probly never see the red sox win the world series.

    87 years NOTHING.

on a side note: thank god for the stupid dimondbacks loosing, i wont have to hear those crappy announcers any more talking like they won 15 years in a row. IT WAS ONE YEAR JUST ONE, and last time i checked winning one doesn't mean anything (florida), unless you are boston.

Someone's feeling a little testy today, eh?

C'mon I'm not denying that the Yankees have proven themselves to be a great team. I am fan of BASEBALL first and foremost and while I happen to root for the Red Sox for geographical reasons, it doesn't make me think the Yankees suck or anything. But they are my team's rival, so the chances for me cheering for them are fairly thin.

Having said that, what happened to the Yankees in the World Series last year and what happened in the playoffs with Anaheim this year are amazingly familiar. It's exactly what the Yankees have been doing to teams for the past five years - come back from behind in the mid-to-late innings and crush the opposing team. So you have to at least appreciate some of the irony in all this.

And never say never. We Red Sox fans always cling on to hope. At least until the All Star game.
