$400 seems expensive, especially from NoOneDayFree

Do a search in this forum for onedayfree... you'll see what I mean.

    And yes, I live here.

You know I honestly like these guys advertising their site.. er I mean pointing out deals. The P72 is the European counterpart to the US sold P70, which you can find for $230 refurb'd by IBM.

And for anybody saying we are picking on 3314 and Homie for advertising their site here in the deals forum, search before spout a recoil.

Hell, I could pick up a 19" Samsung 900NF for less than $400, and it's about as top-end as you can get without spending ludicrous money on a Sony.

$400 is steep for a 17", regardless of who made it and its condition.

Generally speaking, one day free is a good site. The P72 is a high end monitor most "end consumer" don't use, so don't try to compare it with taiwan OEMs. I got some really good deals on region free DVD drives from this site, and I like 3314's postings.

They go below $400 tomorrow. Is that a deal? I think I'll put one of their Order Agents on the calendar and see if I can get a lower price. I'll keep ya posted...

I want to see people's IP addresses...I have a nagging suspicion...

I don't have a problem with onedayfree (it's actually a good idea), just my concern about dealers who sell through the site not keeping their end of the deal. Why did ebay become popular? Because they figured out a way to make buyers confident that they would get the stuff they bidded for. From the last threads about how a onedayfree dealer didn't hold his part of the deal, that doesn't give and confidence to bidders, making complaints like Jeepers' legit.

Oh, and if one of you *DOES* work there, get that stupid mouse cursor out of the way.

    My 2 cents.

You know what I find funny about Onedayfree's site. They list the item for 30 days. For about 4 days no sales yet. Then on day 5 there is a sale for some ungodly amount of money for a crappy old piece of hardware. Then no sales for 10 more days, then they advertise on gotapex. Then a few more sales.

Do you guys honestly believe somebody is stupid enough to buy it at day 5? I bet they are padding the sale themself.

    Cool

    Hey Bandito:

Do you resist new ideas? onedayfree is basic economics. Did you take economics classes?

Order agent is a limit order.

Buy now is a market order.

Everything has a price for someone.

    Try new things

    homie

All joking aside Homie, I honestly have a degree in Economics from Northern Michigan University. How did you guess?
