    Directv or Dish Network(or cable)?????

I just moved to the Dallas/Fort Worth area and am in need of some television reception. I have spoken to all the salespeople but they recommend whatever they are selling. If anyone has some suggestions, information, opinions, etc... it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

I'm happy with directv, in my area it was cheaper than digital cable, actually A LOT more cheaper. Only downer is you gotta have a receiver box for each tv, but I got two for free which is all I need.

when i moved into my new apartment in san francisco, i also had this question. Dish is cheaper than cable, and between the two, direct tv had more channels that i wanted...as well as the nfl package. No complaints with directv as well.

Some people complain about directv's picture quality, becasue of the digital compression, but i have no problems with my television.

Yeah imo the picture quality is great. . . at least for the satelite channels, for local channels the sound can be a little shady once in an odd moon, not often and the picture is ever so slightly grainy compared to the other channels. I have the receiver hooked up via s-video and to my tv and other than that its great, no complaints.
