    Optimum Online & Outlook 2002

    hey all,

I just installed outlook 2002 on 2 of my computers. have a question though, are you able to have your inbox synchronize with both computers? what i mean is, right now, when i'm on one computer, i download all my mail(new messages). but when i get on my other computer, i wont receive anything because my new messages were already downloaded to my other computer. i'm thinking maybe because i'm using optimum online email (POP3), i cant do this.

anyone able to get this to work?

Also, anyone know how to set outlook so that you can copy an address directly from a received email to your contacts folder?

    thanks

OK, since you're using POP3 instead of Exchange, you can do this. There's a setting in Outlook to leave your mail on the server - what you can do it turn this on on ONE of your machines if there's one that you check more often than the other... this way, you check the mail on PC 1, the mail stays on the server, then you check on PC 2, and it downloads the mail & removes it from the server (otherwise you'll get a nasy note from your ISP about mail piling up in your inbox).

As far as putting addresses in your book, I think you can just right click on the address and you'll have a choice to make an entry in your address book.
