I recommend getting a digital spread spectrum 900mHz phone, instead of an analog 900mHz phone. That way people with scanners in the neighborhood can't listen to your calls. I just saw a Radio Shack model for about 20 bucks at the Odd Job closeout stores in NYC. If the phone's description doesn't say digital spread specrum, it's not.
