Post Which HD should I use to put my OS?

I jus bought 2 Harddrives - the Maxtor D740X-6L and the Western Digital 800JB.

My question is which HD should I use to boot up the OS. I plan to use Windows 2000. Does it even matter which HD to use? My goal is speed and quiet.

    Please help...thanks!

Are you going to put both drives in the same computer? If so then sound shouldn't really be an issue, since both will be spinning either way. How big are the drives? Are you going to partition them more or just use how they are? If you are going to use them just as they are, I would say dedicate the smaller one to the operating system(as long as it's atleast 20gb) and the bigger one for your data files. You gotta have plenty of room for all those illegal mp3's you're looking forward to downloading

Use the WD800JB as your OS drive! I currently use the WD1200JB drive as my OS drive and my 80GB Maxtor as a backup drive!
