    Sega still hurting for cash…

Sega stocks are still in the crap house; its latest released games didn't sell nearly as well as they hoped. They killed the Dreamcast so they could build the company back up as a third party software company and now that doesn't seem to be working. Sheesh! They better get it together soon or they might be bought out by Microsoft too!

Here you have a perfectly good company that makes great games but it's just not enough. If they want to stay alive out there they have to rise the bar by making newer games and not just re-release the old games but with improvements. The old games just aren’t cutting it no more. Too many newer better game out there. Come on Sega, get with it already!

    Sega...show me the games!

Killing the Dreamcast {nice system that it be} and becoming a third party software company was the right move.

"Sega has mapped out a plan to sell a total of 20 million copies of game software in the year to next March, including five million in North America." Seems overly optimistic especially for a crap economy.

I concur with your post apmiller.

Yeah I liked Sega. I had a Sega Genesis a long time ago and it was a lot of fun. Really liked Mutant League Football. When the Saturn came out I didn't know what to think of it and then the Dreamcast, I was excited at first about it and then it was kinda like hmmm, na that's ok... Isn't Atari still out there somewhere? I don't hear a lot about them...

The brand name of Atari after passing through several companies hands ended up with Infogames.

I was one of the douchbags who sunk a lot of money in the DC and accessories when it came out. Three months later I bought a PC and haven't touched it hardly since. Upside now is games for it are now like 5-10 beans and it is a pretty cool system. I even bought the VGA adapter a little while back after they stopped production. The VGA adapter rulez, I would recommend for everyone who plays any console games to find one.
