Do you realize that 4000 pts at 52pts/hr equals about 77 hours? And that is just to earn an $18 g.c., you can get higher payout rates in actual money using many get paid to surf programs. The payout rate for this echo thing only equals a little over 23 cents per hour.

If you actually earn $72/mo in Amazon gift certificates, then it is better than firstlook.com since they limit you to 125 point per day and you can only earn $40/mo

I keep having problems with netscape or IE crashing when I use echo for more than about 1/2 hour. And that's even when I'm actively using my computer, so it's not from inactivity time out. Any ideas why?

I had that problem with one of the computers at home, I upgraded to Netscape 6 ( its still beta though ) and seems to work fine now. I think it might have to do with the Java settings that they use for the player.

Sure, pay 2 surf programs pay more in actual money, but w/echo you don't even have to listen to the music. You can earn points while you sleep...literally!

Echo works well if you have broad band access otherwise don't bother, and also, they were not accepting new members a little while ago. However, I have been pretty successful with earning gift certificates with them, though their player does slow your system down, so it's nice if you have more than one computer so one can run echo, while you use the other.

Jago, no need to be so hateful about it.

And, in Echo's defense, I LOVE them. It's 300 hours/month limit and with DSL it works out great. I also have a lot of referral which helps out tons. I'm cashing out every 2-3 days now. Sure, you get disconnected, you just reconnect till you get back in, and none of my screen is taken up by the surf programs.

I'm not hateful Maggie! I used the word 'Please'! It's just that this person knows referrals don't belong here and that there is a seperate Referral forum. It's been getting to me lately how people intentionally disregard the rules.

Yep you can use the GC anywhere in Amazon's site and YES they are stackable....

Maggie I to am getting to redeem every 2-3 days now... just wondering how long it is taking you to get the GC. It seems to take about 3 days to get them.....

Yeah, they're stackable... I've racked up about $200 worth now. I'm not sure if there really is a 300 hour/month cap but I think I would have exceeded it by now. If you do sign up for echo please find someone to refer, help someone out.

I haven't been keeping track of my hours, but some are saying that the counter stops once they reach about 300 hours. I am also cashing out every 2 days now. This is REALLY going to help out with Christmas this year. *I* might get something.
