it was pretty stupid all in all. although i probably wouldn't say that if i'd gotten a proc . bunch of guys jumping up and down, hooting and hollering. trying to get the crowd to yell A-M-D!(like a cheer)

there was one funny part...they had all these dudes comming up on stage and dancing for hats. NOBODY could dance at all! of course, i didn't even try.

got some t shirts and some sort of cd.

the box build off event was retarded. one guy(jaime)'s box wouldn't boot. the other guy(al) got his together and booted in like 20 minutes. now there was a rule that if you got it all put together, according to a checklist they gave out, and it didn't boot that you would automatically win. they'd have someone check it all out, and then just assume you had a bad part or something. so at the end, Jaime's box wouldn't boot. BUT, they declared him the winner because on Al's box the HDD LED didn't light up. (LAME)

Now here's the screwy part. They guy who was supposedly checking out Jaime's box to make sure he followed the checklist got it to boot, but they still said he won(so obviously he did something wrong). But then, like halfway through announcing that he won, they said Al won too. So both of 'em got $2500 bucks and a proc, but neither had to even run a benchmark.

sheesh...wish i had been on the stage.

on the plus side, one of the chics working there looked like cameron diaz.
