Thanks for reading the review chosenfool.

I didn't have Sis645DX board to compare it to. I had thought about tossing in the 845PE board, but I wanted to keep this between the 648 boards as you surmised. I had a difficult time in determining whether I should just say "This one is better than those and gets first place". But I did not want to say that (Hence no end score), since they are all in different categories and all have their own individual points.

There shouldn't be much of a difference in speeds of SATA until larger platter drives or higher RPM drives for ATA become availible. Its not a limitation in interface, its a limitation in hardware speed.

I have yet to see a review that addresses the functionality of the AGP bus at 8X. Have you tried testing with the ATI Radeon 9700 Pro? Some have tried but they reported the 9700 ran at only 1X and 2X and maybe 4X. I am wondering if the problem is the chipset or the video card. Anyone have any luck with this combo? Any idea when Intel will be releasing a chipset that supports AGP 8X?

Supposidly these boards are faster than RAMBUS, did you find that true? What about stability? I'd love to go with this chipset but I havnt had anybody tell me its 100% solid and better than an 850E board... the fact that you mentioned the pretty award bios is appealing. The days of my PIII/500 are numbered.
