    format /mbr

    hahahaha
    thats format ->master boot record

    Which drive was the primary master and which was the primary slave? whichever one was the master has the important info written to its master boot record. Sounds like that is the one you took out. You sure it was your D:? You could re-install LILO on your drive, that would probably fix it. how exactly to go about it, i couldnt tell you. YOu could also run LILO off of a boot disk, i know lilo has the ability to make boot disks fairly easily.
