Thread: PNY Technologies CD-R 50-pack boxed for $18.95 after rebate

    Post

I found this at buy.com. They are selling these for $38.95. And the heading on their site says, "CDR RECORDABLE MEDIA 50-PK 700MB 80M 12X BOXED SPINDLE". And no other information was given, so I assume they are boxed as well. "Offer Valid only for purchases made June 1, 2000 - July 31, 2000" So, it expires soon. Here's the link:

I saw those cdr's yesterday. You have the right idea but I have a better one. Use the 10 off coupon that brings your total down to $10.

just searched the deals and there was a deal for a 50 pack of 80 min cd's for 14.99 shipped overnight from outpost.com.

Here is the product number: 84219

damn trying to link stuff from there is crazy, but just search for that number. And here is the link to the old thread: http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/Forum5/HTML/003728.html

I bought 100 CD-R 8x 80MIN 700MB for $28.50 with free overnight shipping from Outpost.com. The item number is 84131. I ordered yesterday at 14:03:51 as listed on their Order Summary printout. I received them today a little after 11:00. Less than 24 hours to recieve any order is excellent!

Bad deal? You have got to be kidding? For $18.95 , which is about $3.95 more than your outpost deal you get them in jewel cases. In my post it said boxed spindle, therefore I assumed they were in jewel cases. And that is pretty cheap if it comes in jewel cases, if not, yes, it is not as good a deal as before. But it is still a good deal for $18.95!

I bought those PNY's before. They're in a spindle not jewel cases. The Outpost spindle is better because A. It's a few dollars cheaper B. FREE overnight shipping and C. You don't even need to bother with any rebate forms...

Yea, I supposed you are right. However, you could always use the Buy.com free shipping coupon, but then again I forgot about the taxes. I still find it a deal, at least these are brand names CDR (sort of), for just $4.00 more. But of course, everyone has their own opinions.

And another thing, I purchased the PNY spindle approximately 3 months ago and still no sign of the rebate check. At least this post reminded me of that and now I gotta try to contact them...

    my ? is...

WHO wants to pay $18 and do the hassle of a rebate when you can get the spindle at outpost for $15!!!!!!

The Kingston Outpost 50 (or 100, as Hoser said) pack of 80mins is THE best deal around. Maybe its the shipping....
