As someone who got into UCSD on a relitivly low GPA and decent SAT scores I recomend you write your UC essay on something that is unusual about you; something the readers don't hear about everyday;something intresting. Wait... I don't know the topic. I'm sure what I've said still applies. If you'd like I'll email you my application. It was about working at Subway

Oh the topic this year is something like:

School and studying is only part of who you are. Tell us what you do when you are away from school and your studies.

So I'm gonna write about how I started a profitable website. =D Man it's 2:30 and I still haven't started! sho.gun keeps sending me all these cool links that I have to keep clicking!

What you do in the classroom defines only a part of who you are. How do you spend your time when you are not in class or studying? Focus on one activity, two at the most, and discuss what you have gained from your involvement.
