Outlook Express Disappearing Inbox

Hey,
I'm having a wierd problem. From time to time, all of the email that was sitting in Outlook Express in her Inbox, just disappears. No trace of it. Outlook sends me the "Welcome to outlook express!" email every time, and downloads everything i have in my Pop3 inbox again.

the inbox.dbx file mysteriously shrank, not disappeared...

Has anyone seen this before? Its been happening for about 8 months now.

SPecs:
OUtlook Express 6.0028
IE 6.0028
All the latest patches and service packs
P4 1.6 GHz w/ 384 Megs of SD ram

This happens sometimes on reboot, sometimes by just closign /opening outlook. Wierd, huh???

Are you using McAfee VirusScan? I know that there was a problem where that exact thing would happen if you were running that.
