    Chores, and who does them

How many of you come home to a hot cooked meal and your laundry done. then gripe that there's no food in the house or your favorite shirt isn't dry yet. Maybe your best response would be that you take the garbage out once a week. Ever see in the inside of a market, I'm not talking about from behind the cash register. Could you actually walk through a market and pick up everything you would need to make a good well rounded meal/dinner, do you know how? Maybe you think all laundry detergents are the same. Sure, "what do you mean you cant put the whites and colors in together"?

um, not quite sure what you're getting at here

i do all my own laundry, all my own cooking, and all my own shopping. if something doesn't get done, i've got one person to blame: me.

are you having some problems with your kids or something? cause you seem a little bitter

No, I have no kids, I'm just trying to stir up everyone's guilty conscious. I'm looking for a serious rebuttal.

Not trolling, just trying to get your opinions, if your living with someone do expect to share chores or do you both have your own set of predetermined chores, how would you go about determining this. It all boils down to responsibilities.

Anything inside the house, and the yard work, I do. He works 12 hour days to pay the bills, and does all the heavy maintenance. It works out well for us.

My wife does the laundry and sometimes cooking. We clean kind of equally, that is we each clean our own mess. She makes the most mess, so she cleans the most.

I clean her guns, and my own even if she uses them.

I earn the money, take care of finances, and fix/clean the car.

I cook sometimes, but for the most part we eat simple stuff, samwhiches, Mac+Cheeze, noodles.

Well, as of right now, I am the one at home, so I keep up everything in our apartment pretty much, I cook when it needs to be done, I do laundry, I clean and stuff, just because I'm the one that is home during the day, and dopey is the one that is out making the money. But once I start working in January and start up school again in February, it is just whoever can get it done when it's convinent.

I do all the cooking and she cleans up the mess I make afterwards, LOL. I guess she doesn't mind because she's never ate so good. I maintain the vehicles and all the maintenance around the house she cleans and does the laundry. I think it's pretty well split although sometimes either of us is busier than the other and then the funny looks start.

This is a sore topic in my home...I use to work full time, mow the lawn, shovel the snow, do all the outside work, clean the basement, take care of my two children with no help, walk the dog, take full responsibility in making sure the bills were paid...COOK all meals...make sure my own car was running right, come short of fixing it myself

Now...I work part time..never mow anymore ..split the snow shoveling...because now we have "his & her shovels" I still maintain that nasty basement, I still cart my daughter who is older now around to her girlees/school activities/social events....I do the grocery shopping, still do ALL the preparing,COOKING & cleaning up...All the wash..ironing ..take care of the checkbook, all the bills..and basically , make sure his life is as worry free as I can make it...HIS responsibility is to work 8 hours, walk the dog, and make sure my computer is running so I can blab to you
    *taking deep breath*

It use to be 99/1 split in my house...
    Its now about a 70/30 ..
So I guess we've gotten better....I'd kill to have someone cook for me all the time...I hate doing that the most...

If I did kill , I imagine we'd be in the thread "The Death Penalty"..
    Literally...I couldn't or wouldn't ...
As a figure of speech, the thought is heavenly...but, there would have to be rules...The cook would have to be hot
...and do what he was told. lol
