yeah. i tried to highlight it with a friend doing it the foil method. it was too frustrating, so we did the whole head.

tried a burgundy color by myself. had to do it twice, but it came out pretty good.

store too expensive. get box at store for $3.50. heh

I've done red and blonde hightlights on my dark brown hair. I'm going to have to do something soon, to cover up the grey. Good luck, and enjoy your time at the salon!

I use to dye my hair all the time, I've had red, different shades of brown, for 5 minutes I was a blonde, and black, I've also had pink hair, I think I had purple in my hair at one time as well, I also had my hair black with streaks of it blood red...it was awesome...then I stuppoed dying my hair and it's a pain in the ass to get it back to my natural color and healthy again....

I've dyed my hair almost every color, red, green, purple, blue, blonde, white, black, silver, pink....

The more dramatic the color, the more bleach you should use, like with a 40 formula. but don't do it too often, because it will **** yur head up. for highlights with auburn hair, blonde, reds, and some "wacky colors" look good, but it's mostly personal preferece..

its hard to find a good hilite color for auburn/brownish hair. the only thing that looks really good is bleach blonde. but everyone has those. do something diff and get it red or blue or purple or something.

oh yea....black streaks looks good too.

hmm... i'm currently growing out my bleach blonding...

did it earlier this year, and i haven't re-dyed or cut my hair in about 4 months, so the roots have grown out.. it's kinda cool tho, cuz i put my hair into a mohawk in the shower once, and since it had grown out so much, only the spiky stripe was blonde... the rest of my head was black...

other than that, i've tried red (not crayola red) and dark blue, but i think i like the blonde best...

i naturally have jet black hair, btw...

I have blonde hair now, as you all saw a ways back, but now my roots are natural color and it looks cool. Next time I dye its going to be dark brown to show off my green eyes.

How funny! I just did red highlights and I think them...when my hair is drier, you can tell the difference. But it's not a DRAMATIC change, which is what I wanted. I want it to be able to grow out so just in case I can't afford to keep doing it, it doesn't look that bad.

daaaaaamn, that is one janky-ass mess in your bathtub...
and when that stuff was in his hair, it seriously looked like somebody smeared crap on his head.

but seriously, is henna better for something like that than typical dye? i've dyed my hair a couple times, and bleached it recently, and it was never that messy...

Well, henna isn't perm so it doesn't really do any damage it just smells nasty when your hair is wet

    henna info and stuff

I just want to try it because I want my hair another color but I don't want it perm because I want to keep all my hair and stuff..

and yeah the bath tub is NASTY!

I'm cracking up at Pinkgirls pictures...what was on his head was ewww....
..and Canta...you really went "blonde" for sure...matching your shirt & everything ...

I'm sure you all know this, but red is the color that fades the quickest...for whatever reason...
..as far as hiding the greys...guilty as charged here...My hair was light...for the fall & winter I went darker...with red highlights...I love it...
    Do you care...probably not !
