Links 2003 and Tiger Woods 2002 are your two main options. I have played both games and cannot say which game I prefer over the other. Tiger Woods 2002 has faster load times while Links 2003 is more of a "true" simulation game.

I'm playing Tiger Woods 2003 right now and it's great. There's no more pre-rendered backgrounds. Everything is rendered in real time, giving for some very nice camera views. Graphics could be better, but it's an awesome game. Get it for the PC rather than the PS2/Xbox.

Links is a lil' more "simulation" like if thats possible. . . 'cause tiger woods is way too sketchy. Albeit its fun but come on now being able to control your spin during mid-air? Riight. . . But both are fun in different sort of ways. I think on pc I enjoy links a lot more and tiger woods on console is a blast with some friends. But all time console golf game is Mario Golf IMO. This coming from a guy who's golfed ever since he could walk.

yeah i actually picked up links some time back when i was fiendin for a golf game... i don't know how it's workin out for you, tommy, but personally, i found it a bit more difficult than i would have liked it to be... i'll literally miss one swing, and that screws me up for the entire tournament...
