    New P4 Motherboard and RAM

I'm looking to use a P4 2.26GHz 533FSB CPU and was wondering what people would use. This is what I had narrowed my search to,

    ASUS P4T533-C with PC1066 RDRAM
    ASUS P4PE with DDR PC2700

This is a gaming machine only and I want speed and stability. I don't care about o/c but I want to upgrade in the new year to a Hyper-Threading P4.

    Any ideas comments welcome.

    Cheers,
    Scott Murphy

Get whatever granite bay board with dual channel DDR. If your going to upgrade later to a HT pent, this is a better long term investment.

How much is that 2.26? Most 1.8A's hit 2.4 and are rock stable.

    2 cents,

The 2.26 "B" was purchase just over two months for a project that was not competed so I "inherited" it. I have o/c before but I'm not interested in doing it anymore. It was about $40 more than the 1.8A at the time $340CDN or about $220US (I think been awhile).
