I tried it, but the maps of my area were pretty old. They are building an intersate near my house and in the picture it isn't paved, but they have probably had it paved for a year now.

    True...

Granted, the pictures are pretty old (the building I work in now isn't there on the program).. but I'm guessing they are about 1 1/2 years old or so.. but still, either the sattelite photos or the planes they are using for the pictures take awhile to get everywhere.. try looking at san diego.. look how close you can go.. I forgot the street it was at, but I was zoomed in so far, I could see people walking into a mc donalds and kids playing in the playland..

I don't think this'll stop anything though - the better you idiot-proof a system, the more impressive the idiot becomes.

depends on if you are connected to the internet at the time, and it depends on what area you are trying to seach.. certain parts of Los Angeles and most of San Diego, you can pretty much go all the way to the street and see cars and sometimes people.

As for the 30 day version.. I think all you have to do is just create multiple accounts using different email addresses (haven't tried this, as I'm sure the account key they give you is embedded into the registry and i'm not sure if they will allow you to add another one.. who knows. in 17 days, I'll uninstall it and see what I can do.

Very cool! Much more interesting than Microsoft's TerraServer. Will it work on an ATI card? I am just finishing putting together a computer with a Radeon 9700 pro but am not online with it yet. I am presently using WebTB which can't download anything but the screen shots which look great!
I add new pictures to my photo gallery pretty regularly. You can see them here if you are interested: http://www.pbase.com/jeffryz

I believe it WILL work, but you just get a shorter trial version.. but like I said, you might be able to just uninstall it and reinstall it.. no guarantees though (unless you find out where in the registry it has attached itself to and remove all of the entries..)
