Searching for MP3s using r3 VBR?

Has anyone come up with a good way to find (peer-to-peer) mp3 files that have been encoded CD quality, r3 VBR, or at the least, at a high bit rate?

Ya...maybe someone will release a hack to direct connect that allows filtering with bitrate.

Yeah, i have a wishlist for what they need to improve DC. This includes listing the hub (not just the individual) of my downloaded file, automatic hub reconnecting, less windows, and less cpu usage. DC really bogs down my computer.

ever since the newer (v 2.0+) kazaa and kazaa lite have come out, they've allowed greater than the sometimes sub-par 128 bitrate mp3's to be searched for and downloaded...you can define your search by the at least, equal to, or greater than bitrate criteria, most new albums can be found in 192 bitrate and I think the variable bitrate songs come up with their average bitrate, so if you spot a 175 bitrate song then it's probably variable. WinMX is also a great (probably better for quality sounding music) p2p program that tends to have less users than kazaa but higher quality files and I'm yet to have found any "looped" junk on WinMX....hope this helps a little bit
