    Outward Bound

I'm thinking about enrolling for this one week course in late March. It's a desert backpacking and rock climbing course and sounds pretty cool. Any of you on this forum done something like that? I remember when I was a junior back in college, I did something with Outward Bound for 4 days through my school. It wasn't really roughin' it 'cause we stayed in cabins. With this course I'll actually be living out of my backpack for that one week. I'm seriously considering doing it.

Dude that sounds like it could be a lot of fun. Which desert is it? I have never been desert backpacking but I used to live in the low deserts of California. The nights are absolutely incredible. If you enjoy looking at the stars, do it. Shooting stars come in handfuls.

The Chihuahuan(sp?) Desert. It's located at the western tip of Texas and Mexico, by the Rio Grande. I can't wait.
